Jennifer Averyt, Ph.D., ABPP
I enjoy working with clients to help them to reach their health-related goals, whether that involves improving their sleep, better managing a chronic health condition, reducing disordered eating behaviors, or adjusting to a new diagnosis or treatment routine. I have experience working in primary care and specialty care medical settings and can collaborate with your other health care providers to assist with ongoing treatment. My goal is to provide a supportive and caring environment to help you to improve your overall health, well-being, and quality of life.
I have clinical and research experience in the areas of diabetes, sleep disorders, eating disorders, and oncology. I specialize in both cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based treatments.
I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Washington University in St. Louis and my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Ohio University. I then went on to complete my internship at Phoenix VA Health Care System and a postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Health Psychology at Tripler Army Medical Center.
In my spare time, I enjoy running, travel, and spending time outdoors with my husband and two dogs.
